Cancellations, Substitutions, Downgrades & Upgrades
If you need to cancel your registration, you may do so for a full refund, less a C$150.00 service charge until Friday, April 9, 2010. Attendees who register prior to or after the deadline date, who do not cancel in writing by the deadline date are liable for the pass cost and will be charged for the full registration fee.
Sorry, no refunds are available for no-shows. If you are unable to attend the event, we recommend that you send a substitution in your place. Changes to registrations must be presented in written form. Please download the Registration Change Form and fax your cancellation, changes or substitution request to (415) 947-6011, or mail your request to:

Written requests for a downgraded pass must be received no later than Friday, April 9, 2010 for a full refund on the difference of registration fees between the value of the original and downgraded pass.
Sorry, requests received after Friday, April 9, 2010 cannot be accommodated. Upgrade pass requests must be submitted in writing and faxed to (415) 947-6011 along with payment information for the difference in value.
Goods and Services Tax (GST)
Included in your registration fees is a 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST). To claim an exemption from this tax, you must provide your Canadian GST exemption number on a Registration Change Form.
Fax the completed Registration Change Form, requesting your exemption to the UBM Registration Department at (415) 947-6011.
The GST account number for GDC Canada is 87288 6213 RT0001.
Program Changes
The Think Services Game Group, producers of GDC Canada 2010, reserve the right to make changes in the programs and speakers, or to cancel sessions if enrollment criteria are not met, or when conditions beyond its control prevail. All sessions, excluding Tutorials, and Summits are filled on a first-come, first-seated basis. Arrive early to ensure a seat! Recording devices and cameras, still or video, are prohibited.

GDC Canada 2010 Alumni Policy
GDC Canada 2009 and VIGS 2008 paid conference attendees and speakers are considered alumni for GDC Canada 2010. Alumni offers excludes press and exhibitor pass types. Unless otherwise specified, Alumni discounts cannot be combined with other discounts including IGDA or group discounts.
Event Badges
Badges will not be mailed in advance of the event. Please bring a copy of your confirmation along with a government issued photo ID to collect your badge.
Please care for your badge. A non refundable replacement fee will apply for all duplicate badge requests.
Hotel Reservations
If you have not yet made hotel arrangements, we urge you to do so immediately. For hotel reservations, please refer to the Travel page.

- Duplicate Catalogs & Removal from Mailing List: If you're receiving duplicate copies of our conference brochure, please enclose the address area from each duplicate conference catalog you would like to be removed from, and mail or fax to the above address. To be removed from the mailing list, please fax or mail your address area from your catalog with instructions to be removed from the mailing list.
Children At The Show
Due to safety concerns, no one under the age of 18 (including infants in strollers) will be permitted on the show floor at any time during the GDC Canada.
IGDA Member Discounts
IGDA members can receive a CDN$50 discount on the price of their Main Conference or an All Access conference pass when they register. To receive your IGDA discount this year you must be a current IGDA member. Please contact IGDA directly at IGDA.org to obtain your unique IGDA discount code. Please note that the IGDA discount does not apply to Game Career Seminar passes and cannot be combined with other discounts including alumni discounts or group discounts. Please note the GDC call center will not be able to register you for an IGDA membership as of the GDC Canada conference cycle (January 10, 2010 through May 7,2010).
Combining Discounts
Question: Can I combine other additional discounts along with my Alumni Discount or regular pass?
Answer: No, Alumni discounts cannot be a combined with other discounts including group discounts or IGDA discounts. Only one promotional may be used for each regular non-alumni invited registration. Promotions including special offers from partner organizations are effective as of the date produced and cannot be retroactively applied to previously purchased passes.
